Biography
Forming a groove-driven instrumental ensemble steeped in blues and jazz, the Koch Marshall Trio unites guitarist Greg Koch, his son Dylan Koch on drums, and Hammond B-3 specialist Toby Lee Marshall. Milwaukee native Greg Koch brings more than two decades of work as a bandleader and session musician. Dylan Koch adds his own depth to the lineup after sharpening his technique at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music and McNally Smith School of Music, while also receiving mentorship from Tom Brechtlein, longtime drummer for Chick Corea. Toby Lee Marshall completes the trio following tours with Lonnie Brooks and Bernard Allison. In 2018 the Koch Marshall Trio issued their full-length album Toby Arrives.
