Biography
The band Koester centers on singer/songwriter Steve Koester and draws its lineup from multiple indie rock outfits. Alan Weatherhead of Sparklehorse joins Miguel Urbiztondo, Tim Buckley, and John Daniels, all three formerly of Maki. Their debut album, Oh! Turpentine, earned critical praise along with underground-scene traction. Summer 2002 brought the follow-up release, The High Highs the Low Lows.
