Biography
Kyle Alexander channels the drive, fresh sonic textures, and charged interplay modeled by Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole into verses devoted to Christian faith and worship of God. He launched his recording activity with the 2017 single “Oh My God” and followed it in 2020 with the politically pointed “America I Got a Question,” wrapping contemporary rap force around a message of spiritual conviction.
Raised in New Castle, Delaware, Alexander first performed rap and vocals only for personal enjoyment before stepping into public view in 2010. His earliest work occurred inside the collective Making Prophecy Reality, known as MPR, a contemporary Christian rap outfit drawn from his own congregation. After MPR dissolved in 2015, he moved forward alone, sharpening a rugged delivery that echoed the major artists he had long studied. Starting in 2017 he released the singles “Living My Truth,” “Lit,” and “Go Get It,” pairing dense rhythms and forceful cadence with themes of self-empowerment and uplift. The 2020 track “America I Got a Question” examined police violence and racial friction.
