Biography

The contemporary folk ensemble Kyn originated in Thunder Bay, Ontario, under the guidance of mother-and-daughter singers and songwriters Sharon and Ambre McLean. What began as the duo Sharon and Ambre later expanded its roster with the addition of cellist David Abramsky, percussionist Les Hartai, and drummer Chris Campbell. The group issued its debut album, ...Relatively Speaking, in 1997.
