Biography
Combining salsa with infusions of rock and funk, the Los Angeles-based Latin/rock outfit L.A. Carpool has forged a distinctive identity on the regional circuit. Fronted by Faith Rivera, a former backup vocalist for Xavier who performs most material in English, the ensemble delivered its debut album The Worlds Collide in 2000 and scored the hit “Mi Guajira,” then followed it with Havana Taxi the next year.
