Biography

During 1990, L.A. Star delivered a female viewpoint on gangsta existence in an era when few women rappers chose to enter that space. Her tracks simultaneously incorporated romantic themes, although she avoided placing emotional openness alongside combative attitudes. On Profile, Poetess stood as a solid initial release, yet no second project appeared.
