Switzerland's Simone Kromer, endowed with flawless cheekbones, launched her career as a part-time television model and appeared in spots for major brands such as L'Oreal, Nestle, and Schwarzkopf. The teenager from Aargau nevertheless committed herself to dance music full time and performed under the name Lady Tom. In contrast to the typical path of prolonged club work before any production opportunity arises, she stepped into a studio right after finishing high school to cut her first single. The progressive trance number "It's a Dream" became a strong club success in Switzerland and Germany. The blue-eyed brunette then performed at major continental events including Mayday and Love Parade and quickly earned recognition as one of the dance scene's most promising newcomers. Her second single, "Loops & Tings 2000," a reinterpretation of Jens Mahlstedt's 1992 track "Loops & Tings," likewise dominated European clubs. Another popular club cut, "House of House," preceded her debut album, the double-CD package titled Wild Child.
