Biography
Ladylike operates as a modern girl group whose sound carries a rock edge akin to that of the Pussycat Dolls, built around four arresting lead singers. The Malaysian entertainment firm KSU Studios formed the act in 2008 with the explicit goal of raising its own global visibility. Stockholm natives Miranda Hortlund, Valerie Wigart, Louise Tomassino, and Isabelle Filling were selected from a field of 600 auditioning performers, after which the quartet entered the studio with Edry Abdul Halim, KRU’s staff composer. Their self-titled debut album appeared in 2009 and contained refreshed English-language adaptations of material that had already circulated in several Asian territories.
