Biography
Lanemeyer formed as a New Jersey punk quartet toward the end of 1997, featuring Chris Barker on vocals and guitar, Mike Doyle on vocals and bass, Casey Morgan on guitar, and Sean Smith on drums. The group cultivated an aggressive pop-punk style that surfaced first on their independently issued EP Stories from the Big Screen in 1999. Shortly afterward they entered a deal with the Washington, D.C. label Too Hep Records. In 2000 the band issued its debut full-length album, If There's a Will, There's Still Nothing. The lineup dissolved the next year, after which its members joined other projects such as Day at the Fair and Arcade Academy. A short-lived reunion took place in late 2005, limited to several local performances.
