Biography
Last Ex originated as a collaborative endeavor between Simon Trottier and Olivier Fairfield, both associated with Timber Timbre, after the pair chose to develop further an unused score originally created by Timber Timbre for the 2012 horror film Last Exorcism Part II. Working in Fairfield's studio, they enriched these concepts by incorporating additional instrumentation and sonic textures, while also enlisting Timber Timbre colleagues Taylor Kirk and Mika Posen to provide contributions on drums, guitar, and strings. This process culminated in the band's self-titled debut album, issued by Constellation during October 2014.
