Latex Empire blends elements of a side project with those of a mix series, its acid-heavy industrial sound revolving around Thomas Elers, also known as DJ Thomas of Cellblock X. The project's first release targeted at American listeners, Waveland, surfaced on Cleopatra in May 1997.
