Le Luci Della Centrale Elettrica

Italian singer/songwriter Vasco Brondi fronts the indie rock outfit Le Luci della Centrale Elettrica, defined by sparse arrangements and folk leanings. He issued a self-titled demo in 2007 before unveiling his proper debut, Canzoni da Spiaggia Detrupata, on La Tempesta Dischi in 2008. Giorgio Canali produced the set, which received the Targa Tenco award for Miglior Opera Prima. A stretch of intensive touring with a full band came next, encompassing opening dates for Subsonica and Blonde Redhead. Sophomore album Per Ora Noi la Chiameremo Felicità appeared in 2010. The following year brought stadium support runs with Jovanotti plus the XL Repubblica EP C'eravamo Abbastanza Amati. Work on a new project with Federico Dragogna of post-grunge band Ministri began in 2013. Released in 2014 under the title Costellazioni, the album rose to number two on Italy's chart.
