Biography
Le Mani came together in 2005, drawing members from Matera while establishing themselves in Rome after the dissolution of crossover outfit No Man's Land and the melody-focused project Ar.Ca.Dia. The roster featured Luigi Scanargella on vocals, Antonio "Toto" Marcucci handling guitar, Angelo Perna on keyboards, Francesco "Ciccio" Stoia at the bass, and Marco Pisanelli behind the drums. Following extensive roadwork, the group inked a deal with Universal Italy, which assigned them to a management and production unit led by Daniele Barlocci and Stefano Cenci. Their debut full-length, In fondo, arrived in February 2007 behind the advance single "Sei come sei". Its fusion of straightforward melodies, robust yet buoyant rock energy, and subtle electronic elements connected quickly with a broad listenership drawn largely from teenage fans. That momentum carried through subsequent releases "L'ultima lettera" and "Semplice distrazione". Early 2008 brought yet another single titled "In fondo".
