Biography
Serving as Uriah Heep's drummer from 1972 to 1979 established Lee Kerslake's longest-running connection to the band. Before that period he had performed with Gods and appeared on three of their albums. While still active in Heep he also contributed to solo albums by David Byron and Ken Hensley along with assorted other sessions. In 1976 he recorded what became the final album by Gods. Kerslake later returned to Uriah Heep, but only after working with both Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath. Lee Kerslake died on September 19, 2020, at age 73 following a prolonged battle with cancer.
