Leeway

Emerging from Queens, New York during the late 1980s and early 1990s, the hardcore and metal quartet Leeway drew frequent comparisons to thrash outfits of the period such as Crumbsuckers, Anthrax, and Testament. The band nevertheless pursued sonic variety, incorporating forays into funk and rap alongside slower, riff-driven passages in the style of Black Sabbath. Across its existence Leeway put out four albums: Born to Expire in 1988, Desperate Measures in 1991, Adult Crash in 1994, and Open Mouth Kiss in 1995. A combined reissue of Born to Expire and Desperate Measures followed in 1996.
