Biography
During the 1970s cadence period, Les Aiglons stood out as a classic Guadeloupian ensemble. Haitian sounds shaped the group profoundly, just as they did nearly every act across the Antilles from the late 1950s into the early 1980s. Their single Cuisse-La posted the highest sales total of any Antilles release, a mark that held until Kassav' eclipsed it with Zouk-La Se Sel Medikamen Nou Ni in 1985. After issuing Bon'm La in 1987, the band dissolved without fanfare; two former members then resurfaced the following summer in the more commercial outfit Love Stars.
