Biography
Formed in Seattle, Levator brings together Sky Lynn on vocals, guitar, effects, synth, and bass, Nate Henry on tenor sax, effects, and keyboards, and Rando Skrasek on drums, effects, synth, and bass. The group delights in crafting drowsy, dreamy shoegaze indie rock that merges pop and avant-garde touches with a strong Pink Floyd presence.
Sky Lynn first created the project alone and played every instrument on the 2004 debut Midnight. Once touring became feasible, the lineup grew into a trio, so the later releases Jackson Hwy. Barnes Drive (2006) and The Biggest Waves Come at Night (2009) incorporate writing and performances from all three musicians.
