Lid

Following the anticipated dissolution of American doom metal legends Trouble in 1996, vocalist Eric Wagner partnered with British guitarist Danny Cavanagh of Anathema to launch Lid, a transatlantic psychedelic hard rock collective. The group’s roster was completed by the sibling rhythm section featuring Tim Reeves on bass and Tommy Reeves on drums. The quartet captured its sole effort in the trippy acid rock vein when it recorded the 1998 album In the Mushroom. Although speculation about a subsequent release continued, no further recording appeared, and Eric Wagner died on August 22, 2021 at the age of 62.
