Biography

Emerging from the Bay Area, garage-rock band the Lies coalesced out of the remaining pieces of the Bonnot Gang. This assembly brought vocalist Dale Shaw, guitarist Sadie Shaw and drummer Sarah Reed back together alongside bassist Casey Ward and drummer Tracy Sawyer, who had once formed half of the by-then storied Heavens to Betsy. Their appearance on Kill Rock Stars' Mailorder Freak Singles Club arrived just ahead of the 1999 issuance of their first full-length album, Underdogs and Infidels.
