Biography
Liesa Van Der Aa, a Flemish violinist, songwriter, and actress, completed cabaret studies at the Herman Teirlinck Instituut in 2008. In tandem with her acting work she began releasing music both under her own name and alongside assorted ensembles. Having taken up the violin at age five, she contributed guest performances to Belgian band the Sixth Metal prior to crafting her loop-heavy 2012 solo album Troops, which logged six weeks on the Flemish charts.
