Biography
Originating on the West Coast, the hard rock trio Life in a Burn Clinic assembled in Los Angeles toward the end of the 1990s. Its roster includes Mark Loftin on guitar and vocals, Steve Wilekin on bass and vocals, and Jimmy Stewart on drums. Although commonly slotted into the hardcore category, the group’s music draws on a wider range of styles such as punk, jazz, metal, and experimental. Life in a Burn Clinic secured a contract with Metal Blade Records early in the 21st century and put out its first release, Individual Rites, in August of 2001.
