Biography
Around 2002, Atlanta, GA gave rise to Light Pupil Dilate, whose arty fusion merges hardcore, metal, noise rock, and assorted other styles under the sole guiding principle of shattering every convention of traditional songcraft. Following the 2003 release of their self-financed debut album Cascades, the band spent much of the next two years on tour with similarly iconoclastic acts such as Today Is the Day, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Kylesa, and Cream Abdul Babar. Vocalist/guitarist Eric Searle, vocalist/bassist Mike Chvasta, and drummer Michael Green comprise the trio, which tracked its sophomore LP Snake Wine in 2006 for Lifeforce Records the year afterward.
