Lil' Aubrey operates as a San Antonio-based rapper whose focused drive comes through in his direct, unadorned rhymes. Between his first album Eff Lil' Aubrey in 2013 and the 2018 project Higgs Boson, his catalog of LPs also includes the 2016 effort Thongs, Boyshorts & G-Strings, while his singles feature pointed team-ups such as the 2020 track "Policing." Beyond rapping, he works as a producer and maintains additional careers in acting, podcasting, and business ventures.

His great-grandmother's background as a gospel singer shaped Aubrey Warren's path; he began writing raps before turning ten and moved into the studio shortly afterward. The 2013 release of Eff Lil' Aubrey marked his entry into commercial recording, after which he deliberately spaced out projects rather than releasing material frequently, leading to Thongs, Boyshorts & G-Strings two years later. Higgs Boson arrived as his next full-length in 2018. By the close of the 2010s he had already supplied guest verses across numerous tracks. Entering the new decade he appeared on Dirtbeats' "It's Up," Bubba Kemper's "Hunnits," and additional cuts, then joined Dat Mayne Deewayne and Vocab on "Policing."
