Biography
Born Herbert Wright, the rapper known variously as Lil Herb or G Herbo came up in Chicago’s South Shore district, an area sometimes labeled “Terror Town” because of its violent crime. In 2012 he teamed with Lil Bibby for the track “Kill Shit,” a viral success that prompted Drake to call the pair “the future.” That same year Herb released his solo mixtape Road to Fazoland, which was followed in 2014 by Welcome to Fazoland. Late that year he appeared alongside Nicki Minaj on “Chiraq,” and the next year he issued the mixtape Ballin’ Like I’m Kobe.
