Biography
Lindsay Rae Spurlock, the Louisiana-raised singer and songwriter now based in Austin, Texas, occupies a space drawing from Regina Spektor, Björk, and Imogen Heap. She sharpened her abilities by navigating intricate rhythms as both player and vocalist in a college progressive rock group, yet her real strength lay in shaping balanced pop creations that ultimately drew a broad listenership. Early notice followed when tracks from her self-produced debut EP earned television placements in commercials and prime-time slots. After further sharpening her incisive, melodic piano pop, she entered the studio with producer Ben Allen (Gnarls Barkley, Animal Collective) to lay down her second EP, 2008’s Heart On.
