Biography
Lisa Bade made her initial mark by providing backing vocals for Mark Gillespie's Only Human album, which came out in 1980. A cover version of one of Gillespie's compositions became her first single release, titled "Traveller in the Night"/"&Stormy Red," and this was followed by the 1982 arrival of her debut full-length effort, Suspicion. From that album emerged the singles "(That Ain't) No Way to Treat a Lady"/"&Losin' Feelin" alongside "Willow"/"&Pile Up on the Highway." Closing out 1982, the Lisa Bade Band provided support for the Little River Band on tour.
Bade issued her subsequent single "Walk Away"/"&Never Looked So Good" in 1985, after which she lent her voice to Wilbur Wilde's Blowout, the Mark Gillespie Band, and Pink Cadillac. She additionally established the Love Stars as a well-regarded cover ensemble.
