Biography
Born in Canada, Lisa Dal Bello launched her professional singing career at thirteen. Commercials together with CBC-TV's Music Machine secured her an MCA contract and a self-titled debut album in 1977. The following year found her on Capitol, whose releases included Pretty Girls in 1978 and Drastic Measures in 1981. She then stepped away for three years to concentrate on poetry until Mick Ronson urged her back into the studio, where Whomanfoursays emerged in 1984. A further extended pause followed, during which she supplied the lyrics to Nena's "99 Red Balloons" and contributed to the soundtrack of 9½ Weeks (1986). Her fifth album, She, surfaced in 1989.
