Biography
Born in England in 1978, the vocalist began pursuing a music degree in 1997 at the Colchester Institute in Essex. Her instructors there included Australian vocalist Trudy Kerr and jazz educator Malcolm Miles. Over the course of her career she has collaborated with several instrumentalists, among them saxophonist Derek Nash, guitarist Dominic Ashworth, bass player-arranger Geoff Gascoyne, and drummer Jamie Trowell. Kavanagh issued her debut album I’m In Love in 2002 on the FMR Records label. An attractive singing voice and a pleasing personality combine to make her a promising talent.
