Lisa Sanders makes her home in Poway, California. Songwriting entered her life at an early age, shaped by the sounds of Fleetwood Mac and Joni Mitchell.

A surprising shift occurred in 1988 when she left her supermarket position and headed to Los Angeles with her partner to compose jingles, an effort that faltered and sent her back to Poway. Time spent in local coffee houses, where she listened to performances by Jewel, Steve Poltz and Gregory Page, prompted her own decision to perform. Joining Steve Poltz and other award-winning musicians, she issued her debut album, Isn't Life Fine, through MCA in 1997. Her days in the produce department now behind her, Lisa’s career continues forward with a confirmed slot at Lilith Fair 1999 in San Diego.
