Biography
Formed in the early nineties as a supergroup, Little Village brought together string wizard Ry Cooder, tunesmith John Hiatt, English bassist Nick Lowe, and session drummer extraordinaire Jim Keltner. The four first collaborated as a unit during 1987 sessions for Hiatt's breakthrough album Bring the Family, where only he took a leading role while the rest served as sidemen. After four years, they joined forces once more to compose and lay down tracks for their self-titled debut CD. Though that album proved somewhat disappointing, audiences found their live shows to be superb.
