Biography
Emerging from Kalamazoo, Michigan in 1995, the electric rock trio Lo-Fi Scorpio unites Mike Yeager on vocals, keyboards, synth and drum programming, guitars, and sampling with Scott Dill on drums, percussion, and loops plus Tim Houtkooper on keyboards and vocals. Their blend of sampled elements and hard rock has invited comparisons to Nine Inch Nails, VAST, and Smashing Pumpkins. After issuing a self-titled debut and the subsequent album Noir, the band has established a loyal audience throughout the local scene as well as in nearby Chicago and Detroit by headlining their own concerts and serving as support for VAST, Frontline Assembly, and Hate Dept, among others.
