The Italian black metal trio Locus Mortis, whose designation originates in the Latin term signifying "Place of Death," came together during 2005. MZ, who handled multiple instruments, joined forces with vocalist RM and drummer PV to issue their opening demo, Sol Orierit in Loco Mortis, mere months after the band's inception that same year, then delivered the debut full-length Inter Uterum et Loculum before the year concluded. The group resurfaced within black metal circles in 2007 through the album Voust, which earned strong critical approval.
