With a voice that might evoke Cat Stevens for certain listeners, Loren Kramar crafts sincere, lushly arranged pop drawing from the 1970s singer/songwriter period alongside Baroque pop influences. His filmic approach to sound and lyrics took shape through early compositions such as the original "Walk on By," along with "Cover Girl" and "Hollywood Blvd"—the latter carrying a "tap dancing" notation—during the late 2010s and early 2020s. The debut full-length Glovemaker arrived in 2024.

Residing in Los Angeles, Loren Kramar spent his childhood in Encino and the San Fernando Valley. Exposure to the city's artistic flair and theatrical energy during those years prompted him to begin composing music before his teenage years, including Friday evenings spent on the Warner Brothers Studios lot alongside his closest friend and her family. He created a holiday record at age ten, participated in choir, and appeared in theater and dance productions. A high school band followed, after which he pursued studies in fine art. During this time he also composed spoken word works drawn from his personal reflections, sense of self, and onstage possibilities.

Kramar started sharing occasional tracks online in 2015 with "Maybe," already displaying his taste for theatrical lyrics and intricate arrangements. Subsequent releases such as the haunting 2019 "Walk on By," the more inviting 2020 "Cover Girl," and the wistful "How Am I Supposed to Dream?" built anticipation for a richly textured and emotionally charged first album. He supported Father John Misty on an April 2023 East Coast tour, then signed with Secretly Canadian later that year. The label issued "Hollywood Blvd," Glovemaker's opening cut, in November; produced by Sean O'Brien (Matt Berninger, Allie Crowe Buckley) and featuring guest contributions including Amber Coffman on backing vocals, the album appeared in April 2024.
