Biography
Latin pop singer Lorena Taibo first entered the music world by enrolling in her elementary school chorus at age seven, where she also took up guitar before advancing to studies at the Argentinean National Conservatory Juan José Castro. Following appearances on the local club circuit, she entered the dance/pop band El Simbolo in 1994 alongside Francisco Fernández Madero, Ramón Garria, and José Javier Puerta, with the group completing successful tours across Chile, Argentina, and Brazil throughout 1995. One year afterward she chose to base herself in Santiago, Chile, and aligned with the project ESKP, created by ex-Aleste Alfredo Alonso and Lito Zerené, which produced the album Cuerpos en Trance in 1998. Upon securing a solo contract with Warner Music she issued Mitologia Privada, whose track “Huellas en el Mar” rose on both Chilean and Argentinean charts.
