Biography
Los Fabulosos Cuatro earned acclaim for their distinctive arrangements and polished productions that matured steadily across the decades. The ensemble launched its touring career in the early '60s under the banner Carlos Guzman y su Conjunto, switching to Carlos Guzman y Los Fabulosos Cuatro once "Vestida de Blanco" became its breakthrough single. Abelardo Jiménez, known as "ChaCha," entered the lineup following Carlos Guzman's departure for a solo path, only to be succeeded later by Eddie Pérez. Once Armando and Juan Hinojosa stood as the last remaining originals, the group briefly performed as Thus Black Jack. That English designation lasted only briefly before the band resumed the name Los Fabulosos Cuatro after joining forces with Ernie Ruiz and Laura Canales.
