Biography
Following the triumph of Pa'l Mundo in 2005, Wisin & Yandel rose to the leading ranks of reggaeton acts on the strength of their hitmaking prowess. The duo then leveraged that position to found the WY Records imprint and unveil the affiliated crew Los Vaqueros. The lineup, consisting of Tony Dize, Franco "El Gorila," Gadiel, and El Tío together with Wisin and Yandel, first surfaced via the 2006 album Los Vaqueros. Machete Music issued the sequel Los Vaqueros, Vol. 2: Wild Wild Mixes the next year, containing nine original tracks, five remixes, and additional cuts drawn from the earlier record. Between the two projects Los Vaqueros experienced a personnel shift as Jayko supplanted El Tío, who received no credits on Wild Wild Mixes.
