Biography
The musical partnership known as Loudlife unites vocalist Lorraine Ferro with guitarist Geoff Sobel. Ferro entered the collaboration with an established background in performance and composition, encompassing commercial projects, background vocals for Dar Williams and additional artists, and production of G-Spot’s 2004 album Come Here, Go Away. Her songwriting credits include the contemporary Christian hits “Stand” and “Adonai,” the latter of which earned her the 1999 Dove Award for Inspirational Recorded Song of the Year. Ferro initiated her solo recording career via the 2001 album Languishing in Turbulence. Sobel maintains a career as a New York-based session musician. Under the Loudlife banner, Ferro and Sobel issued their self-titled debut album in 2005.
