This effort attracted significant attention from both press outlets and record labels. That identical year saw Boudet establish Threshold Records to back additional alternative artists from the local Miami music community. After debuting on stage also in 1996, Boudet earned respect from numerous fellow musicians, several of whom contributed to the band's first full-length record, Introvert, which appeared toward the end of 1998. Subsequent years brought steady rotation on area radio broadcasts, establishing Act as a key figure in Miami's alternative music landscape. Orlando Jimenez came aboard in 2000 on guitar and bass, converting the act into a two-person group shortly prior to the issuance of their follow-up album, Human.
