Love Arcade represents the artistic vision of its frontman and multi-instrumentalist Snowhite, born Christian Berishaj. The Detroit native frequently takes the stage in angel wings, securing an Atlantic Records contract while still a teenager after labels received unsolicited demo recordings that highlighted his buoyant pop/rock style. From childhood onward he composed and tracked material inside a home studio, later mailing those recordings to multiple imprints as his mother persistently telephoned and pursued A&R contacts. An Atlantic executive eventually auditioned the tracks, prompting the label to offer a formal agreement shortly thereafter. For the project’s first full-length release, the then-19-year-old wrote every song, performed all vocals and instruments, and handled production, engineering, mixing, videography, and graphic design duties himself. Released under the Love Arcade banner, the self-titled album appeared on East West in August 2006, after which the act played a series of supporting live dates. The touring lineup also features guitarist Thomas Amason, drummer Damon Pantfoeder, bassist Seth Anderson (Snowhite’s cousin), and keyboardist Nathaniel Boone (Snowhite’s uncle, though only a few years his senior).
