Love You Moon stands as the solo outlet for Matt Embree, the musician primarily recognized as RX Bandits' lead singer, guitarist, and chief songwriter while also contributing to Sound of Animals Fighting, Cove vs. Bill, and Apotheke and directing the MDB Records label. The project's debut album, Waxwane, appeared in July 2008 after receiving a digital release two months earlier. Embree placed this particular recording with Sargent House Records rather than issuing it through his own MDB Records imprint.
