Biography
Ann Yu, the vocalist and guitarist who had once shared a home with Ronnie Vannucci of the Killers, teamed up with drummer and keyboardist David Farrell. The pair stood ready to relocate from San Francisco to Los Angeles when guitarist and keyboardist Ted Parker posted a compelling band-wanted notice that drew their interest. The three musicians decided to remain in San Francisco, where they launched LoveLikeFire in early 2006 and soon welcomed bassist Robert Kissinger. Their first EP, Bed of Gold, was finished later that year, followed by the mid-2007 release An Ocean in the Air. Jeff Saltzman, whose credits include the Killers and the Sounds, produced the latter, while Reto Peter of Modest Mouse served as engineer.
