Biography
Brooklyn's Low Fat Getting High operate as a shrewd hardcore punk rock trio drawn to dense surges of vintage Metallica fused with grunge textures from Mudhoney, Nirvana, and the Dinosaur Jr. period. The group characterizes its style as "post-noise-grunge-core-shredding." Established in 2011, the lineup comprises frontman/guitarist Michael Sincavage, bassist Artie Tan, and drummer Kaleen Reading, all previously dissatisfied N.Y.C. musicians who connected through Craigslist classified ads. Their first release, the EP Bad Yoga, appeared in 2013, with the self-titled full-length following in 2014 on the Brooklyn indie imprint Money Fire Records.
