Biography
Hailing from Washington State, Lower 48 delivers a pounding strain of roots rock shot through with irony. Eric Olson on guitars and vocals, Mike Nelson on drums, and Scott Lockert on bass formed the band in 1999, after which they tracked their first album, Monster Truck Rally, in Seattle. Corey Dotson joined on guitar soon afterward, and Nick Millward—once a member of Eightball Break—stepped in for Lockert on bass. The group issued Ranchero in 2000, a thunderous set built on AC/DC-sized guitars and tongue-in-cheek redneck subjects.
