Argentinean singer/songwriter Luis Jahn first felt drawn to the sounds of local popular music upon turning 16, prompting him to begin performing and to step onto a stage for the initial time in 1982. Once he completed secondary education, he relocated to Buenos Aires and collaborated there with David Lebón. By 1989 he had established residence in the United States, where he created acoustic ballads during his Chicago years and captured his first long-player, Desconectado, in 1994. He subsequently joined Mexican Ramón Marino for a series of national concerts. Luis Jahn returned to the studio in 2001 to lay down Compromiso.
