Luisa

Born in the Dominican Republic, singer Luisa has carved out her place in Latin pop by drawing on her heritage as well as the sounds of Gloria Estefan, Ruben Blades, Santana, and Millie Quesada to refine her tropical-fusion vocal approach. Her involvement in entertainment began at an early stage, with her initial composition completed by the time she turned 13. In summer 1999 she stepped forward with a self-titled debut backed by a 15-piece band.
