Biography
Originating from Cuba, Luisa Maria Güell established herself as a singer, songwriter, and actress whose career yielded an extensive record of achievements and honors. Departing her homeland in 1968, she relocated to Spain and there formed a connection with composer Manuel Alejandro. A 2007 Latin Grammy nomination for Best Tango Album, received for Ano, ranks among the highlights; that release counts as one of over two dozen albums she issued across her professional span.
