Biography
Having earned praise for shows across the Detroit region, most notably during the 1992 Montreux Detroit Jazz Festival, Lunar Octet fused jazz, funk, and Latin rhythms on its first album, Highway Fun. The lineup includes Brandon Cooper on trumpet and flugelhorn, Stephen Hiltner on alto and tenor sax, Sam Clar on guitar, Mark Kieswetter on keyboards, David Stearns on bass, Jon Crosnic on drums, Aron Kaufman on congas and percussion, and Dave Mason on timbales and percussion.
