Biography
Emerging from West Chester, Pennsylvania, in the spring of 1996, the jam band Lunch Box Heroes started out as an acoustic trio consisting of singer/guitarist Steven "Styles" Liberace, singer Deana Kaley, and saxophonist Scott "Skeeter" Blanford. Several months afterward the roster grew when drummer Jeffrey "Cheezball" Piscitello and bassist Johnny Myers joined, allowing the group to shape a style that merged modern rock with jazz. Their fusion approach soon attracted a devoted cult following, resulting in the 1997 release of the self-titled debut album, with Live from the Lunch Box appearing in 1999.
