Biography
Lynne Timmes, a pop vocalist who grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona, launched her musical journey upon relocating to New York during the early 2000s. Performances at local nightspots including the Bitter End, the Elbow Room, and Arlene's Grocery preceded her breakthrough, which came after participating in a BMI songwriting workshop where she encountered producer Steve Skinner. Their joint efforts yielded several tracks that found a place on her debut full-length release, This Is Not About You. Eventually, her compositions appeared in WB's Jack & Jill and CBS' As the World Turns, while the track "So Serious" made its way onto the 2005 Ruff Ryders anthology The Redemption, Vol. 4.
