Biography
Rhode Island natives M80, a crew of East Coast punksters, have built their reputation on vigorous live shows and an energetic post-grunge approach. Drawing from the raw force of old-school ska and thrash, the band channels an unfiltered urge to explode onstage. Frontman/guitarist Dave Ladin, guitarist Jeff Hanks, bassist Christian Blaney, and drummer Paul Sumner thread their own streamlined melodies through the scowling intensity of punk. An independently released self-titled debut surfaced in the late '90s, yet the group waited until 2000 to issue its sophomore album, Don't Take It Away, through official channels.
